Sudipta's Trip at the SmackDown! ECW Tour in Brisbane

 

Hi everybody!

 

You may or may not know about my trip to Smack Down/ECW Tour at Brisbane on the 17th June 2008. On Tuesday (17th June) I finished my class and left for Brisbane with my mum and dad. It took 2 hours to get to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (where it was going to be held) which is close to the Brisbane International Airport.

The show was scheduled to start at 7:30 pm. At the checkouts, security people checked our bags, pockets and etc, I wasn’t allowed a video camera in, so I used a digital camera. I could have done video but I didn’t want to break the rules or I could be kicked out of my seat and not allowed to watch the show. I wasn’t allowed big signs, so I took a small sign but not that small, bigger than A4 paper. It was about the Undertaker. He is fired. It’s his last tour. I got a big paper given by my dad. It was the Great Khali’s picture. He is awesome. He is from India and with his one shot the opponent’s down. Anyway, I went inside the centre where people were buying WWE stuff and food. I was amazed by the WWE group traveling to New Zealand for 2 days and in Australia for 5 days (It was the 3rd day of their tour, I think). I went to door # 12 and the person over there checked and cut my ticket with a scissor-looking-thing and let me in. I went in and they showed my seat. I was so amazed by the set out of the stage, seats, ring and everything!

There was a person called Justin Roberts at the arena telling us about coming back to Australia and New Zealand and about Undertaker’s last tour and all that. The first match was a Triple Threat match. The first superstar was the winner of the money deposited in the bank, but not on SmackDown/ECW Tour. The contract that superstar won was that superstar can fight the Heavyweight Champion Holder anytime and at anyplace (that’s what I heard from my friends). It is….CM Punk! He is has 8 tattoos on his knuckles. On the right hand it is written “DRUG” and on the left hand it is written “FREE.” The second Superstar was Jamie Noble (don’t know much about him). And third superstar was Chavo Guerrero. He is the nephew of Eddie Guerrero. Eddie Guerrero is famous because of their famed Guerrero family. He was born in 1967 and died in 2005. I saw the match and I was surprise by how they wrestled! I was so frightened that  I went out to see my parents waiting outside the centre. I saw my parents had gone. I heard from my parents that they went to our car to eat the second pizza I had because it was cold and going to have bacteria. The purpose of buying the pizza was that I had to eat at the centre but ate very little so my parents ate all the rest. Anyway, I went outside and didn’t find them. I went inside. I missed two quarters of this match. At the last part of this match I found CMPunk  to win by hitting the GTS on Chavo. CM Punk was then showed off and went back to backstage. I rated  that match 5/10 J

The Second match was a single’s match. First superstar was Kofi Kingston and second superstar was Shelton Benjamin. I think Kofi is from Jamaica and Shelton was a superstar called Kurt Angle’s friend and a team member of the angle gang or something. I like the Jamaican dude! He was awesome with is music entrance and video. Shelton was tackling Kofi very hard. Shelton nearly won but then Kofi hit the Trouble in Paradise and won by an inch.

Third match was a divas tag team match. I didn’t like it. The first team was Natayla & Victoria and second team was Michelle McCool and Kelly Kelly. In the first part of the match when the first team was showing off, Victoria fell off her feet on the floor. Everybody was laughing. Kelly Kelly did some stunts and knocked the opponent down! I like the diva Michelle McCool for 2 reasons. One she was a teacher in a school once and two she beat the hell out off her opponent(s) no matter what happened. The second team won because Michelle McCool tapped Victoria out and Victoria gave up because of the tap.

I loved the fourth match! The Great Khali vesus Shannon Moore! It was a 5 second match because Khali knocked Moore out with one Khali chop on the head and pinned him. I was so excited and I didn’t care if it was a five second match. Anyway, The Great Khali won with one blow to the head.

The Fifth match (for the WWE Tag Team Championships) was funny because Hornswoggle (little irsh person) acted funny. First team was The Miz & John Morrison I think  and Hornswoggle and Finaly. I liked Finlay’s music entrance. “My name’s Finlay and I love to fight!!!.” J The Crowd was chanting YOU ARE FOOLS to Miz & Morrison then chanting YOU MIZ & MORRISON ARE FOOLS! The Hornswoggle acted foolish and everybody laughed! The First team was chasing Hornswoggle but couldn’t catch him! Hornswoggle and Finlay got a water pistol and battled with that and everybody was laughing! Miz & Morrison won because they pinned Finlay.The Second team didn’t care about losing and went off back to the backstage happily.

It was INTERMISSON TIME and I saw my parents and found my classmates there. INTERMISSION was over and the next match was on.

 

The Sixth match (for the United States Championships) was fine for me. It was a single’s match. Matt Hardy versus Chuck Palumbo. Matt was funny and humulated Chuck. Chuck beated Matt up then Matt did the Twist of Fate on Chuck and won with a pin!

The seventh match was my favourite of all the matches. It was a tag team match. The Brothers of Destruction versus MVP & Mark Henry. When Kane started his entrance, Fire boomed up in the air and it was all red and Kane walked to the ring with his ECW Title belt on his shoulder. Everybody went mad I tell you MAD! Everything went bluish and purplish and smoke went everywhere. Undertaker came out of backstage and walked slowly and steadily. Flame went up 3 times when Undertaker was walking. Everybody was cheering the Undertaker and shouting. I held up my Undertaker poster I made. I hope they showed my Poster live on telivision! I was so MAD! When Undertaker finished the entrance, MVP came looking cool and in the middle ramp he showed off like Randy Orton but bent his knee. Suddenly, fire burst out of the little cube-shaped things that activated Kane’s fire in his entrance. MVP just went off to the ring. In the ring he posed again. Mark Henry came walking. He was said to be the world’s strongest man! He nearly destroyed the Undertaker when he interfered in Undertaker’s match. Undertaker then took revenge at UNFORGIVEN! And scared Henry and showed him visions! Oh well.

Kane was first time wrestling against Henry. Kane tried to pin Henry but no use. Kane was worn out and tagged Undertaker. Undertaker went wild on the opponents! He tired to tag Kane but the opponents didn’t let him. Later in the match, Undertaker chokeslamed MVP down. 1…2…Henry broke the pin. Undertaker tried to do the Tomestone Piledriver on MVP but Henry stopped it. Undertaker was playmakered by MVP. 1…2…yeah! Kane broke the pin! Kane & Undertaker double chokeslamed Henry down on the floor really hard. It was a great opportunity to pin Henry but he was not the tagged person. It was MVP! Undertaker Tomestone Piledrove MVP down and pinned him for the win! The Brothers of Destruction won! Everything went blue! Undertaker & Kane walked towards backstage. At the entrance door, Kane & Undertaker looked back at the ring and the light went gold above the ring then they left.

 

It was the eighth match we would be in our main event very shortly. Singles match. Funaki from Japan and Vladimir Kozlov from Russia. Funaki was very fast in going to the ring. Kozlov walked into the ramp. I found out he had no entrance video or entrance music. It was only one light on the muscled figure Kozlov. I think they wanted to show how stone cold he is because no video or music, just one light. Vladamir Kozlov walked to ring and the fight began. Vladimir Kozlov tackled Funaki hard and I think he nearly broke his neck! At 25 seconds later Vladimir Kozlov hit the reverse DDT for the win. Vladimir Kozlov won. Again that light shone on Vladimir Kozlov on his way to backstage. I heard a kid saying ‘RUSSIA SUCKS’ to Vladimir Kozlov near the backstage entrance. I was surprised! Oh well.

 

The Main Event (match nine) was the longest match I saw that day. I was a single’s match for the Heavyweight Championships. First superstar was Edge (the championship holder). He is a great cheat to….doesn’t matter, and the second superstar was Batista! He is the only person who can lift and defeat The Great Khali when they had a match! I never believed it but when I saw the Punjabi Imprison match, he climbed one bamboo cage and jumped to the next cage and climbed out of the bamboo prison. Oh well, Batista was walking in the ramp and in the middle of the ramp he bent down and put two hands on each side and moved them side to side. Suddenly fireworks came up and then Batista punched his hand down and the last fireworks came. He then went to the ring and showed off on the corner rope of the ring. Edge came out and acted cool. He ripped some poster of the other superstars! First one was by accident. Everyone thought that their posters would be ripped by Edge so they volunteered and to my surprise they got ripped by Edge as well. After that he showed off near the entrance and yellow fireworks came up. He then went to the ring and all that stuff. Edge went up to the ring but didn’t get into the ring. Batista tried to get out of the ring and beat the hell out of Edge but couldn’t because the Ref didn’t let him to. The crowd chanted “Edge is a fool! Edge is a pussy!” Edge got the microphone and said, “Excuse, I SAID EXCUSE ME! You are all bunch of foolish people! The fat lady with the Hornswoggle hat, she is FOOL! The lady with the slinger that is really ugly she is a fool! The lady that has weight watchers, she is a fool! The kid who needs to go to the dentist, he is FOOL! The Bald guy, FOOL. Ugly! Fool, fool, fool, fool, fool, fool, fool, fool, fool! You are, all are fools!” (He didn’t really say that. Edge actually said not FOOL but said something more violent. In the fifth match too I trickled with the language). Batista got the microphone and said, “I have two facts for you Edge. Number one, you have to come into this ring sometime tonight and number two, you are no doubts but a big fool! It took about 15 min to get them to wrestle. Batista was at first getting his butt kicked by Edge. At the very end of the match, Batista hits the Spine Buster on Edge. Suddenly Chavo and Neely come out from Backstage running to the help of Edge. Batista got them out of the row. Chavo gave Edge the belt and then Edge got turned into the Batista Bomb! 1….2…..Neely stopped the pin. The Ref called it a DQ. Undertaker came out of backstage and ran to the ring. Chavo and Neely became pussies and ran back out of the ring to backstage and abandoned Edge. Edge was face to face with his nightmare and the winner of the Heavyweight championship belt because of the DQ. Undertaker Tomestone Piledrove Edge down on the ground. Funaki brought a bucket of water and ran from Backstage and poured it on the senseless Edge. Edge got up and ran after Funaki through entrance door. Undertaker stood there like a statue and Batista got his towel while Funaki brought water. Batista showed his respect by handshaking Undertaker and kind of hugging him. Undertaker walked to backstage entrance. He stopped. He turned around and went back into backstage. Batista got the microphone and said, “Thank you everyone for seeing our show tonight. We will come back in future to wrestle here in Brisbane. ByeJ.
